When & Why To Redesign Your Office

Who doesn’t like something new? As a culture we are fascinated by and drawn toward things that are new, even if the last iteration debuted just a few months back (iPhone anyone?). With that being said, there’s nothing wrong with acquiring something new, just knowing when and what that should be is important.

If you’ve built a business from the ground up and spent much of your time and effort building it into a success, but office design and space optimization were an afterthought, then now is the time! Here are some great reasons as to why redesigning your office sooner rather than later is a good idea:

Creating Culture
This is arguably the most important consideration to take into account when designing your office — to move from the current culture to a more creative and productive one.

Improve Efficiency
One of the main differences between an outstanding office and an average office design is the organisation of space, which allows for improved communication across the different desk clumps. Break down those barriers and encourage collaboration 2017. Employees in your company all have different behaviors and sets of values, all the while trying to meet company targets. Therefore, creating a collaborative and flexible design with plenty of group space can be an ideal way for departments to communicate with one another.

Planning for Growth
If your company is growing at a rapid rate, you will need to design your office in a way that will easily allow more talent to join your company. If there is physically not enough room for growth, then it might be time to consider expanding to a new office.’ (source: businesstown.com)
